Family History
Dean Bruschi, Owner, is a fourth generation farmer. His great grandfather farmed in Northern Italy teaching his children the business. Dean’s grandfather migrated to Pennsylvania from Italy and began farming and raising three sons and a daughter (Walt, Amerigo, Dale, and Gloria). While Walt kept farming in South Western Pennsylvania until his passing, Dean’s late father (Dale Bruschi) and his Uncle (Amerigo Bruschi), affectionately known as “Shorty” moved to Florida in the late 1940’s and started farming in the Ft. Lauderdale area. As the south Florida area grew, they found themselves moving further and further north and in the early 1970’s Dean’s Uncle Shorty (Amerigo) expanded his farming adventure into the u-pick business, opening Bo’s U-Pick at Yamato Rd and Military Trail. In the late 1970’s Dale opened his first U-pick “D & D U-Pick” at the Turnpike on Boynton Beach Blvd and in the mid 1980’s he moved the U-Pick to Hypoluxo Rd just west of Military Trail.
After the passing of his parents Dean moved his family to Palm City, FL to continue his dream and pursue his passion for farming. Dean and the rest of his family invite you to come and enjoy the “fruits” of their labor!

D and D Farms mission is to provide a upick and farmers market that is fun and friendly, where our customers can choose to pick their own or select freshly picked
fruits and vegetables from our market.
Vision:
We envision a farm that people love to spend time at. We see them finding out about what a difference fresh, quality produce looks, smells, and taste like. We see seasonal festivals with hay rides, corn mazes, and pumpkin carving contests. We see people enjoying the experience of farm life! Some will reminisce about their u-pick adventures as children and others will experience it for the very first time.

Conservation - By using state of the art drip irrigation equipment we are able to use only a third of the water we previously used. Drip irrigation also allows us to deliver nutrients to our plants when they need it and in just the right amount. We are committed to helping our county and state conserve its water supply.
